Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Normal Saline Solution, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous mixture of sodium chloride. It is indicated for administration to maintain fluid and electrolyte balance in clients. This balanced solution has a pH of around 6.5-7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, can be administered by injection into a vein, or under the skin. It is commonly used in hospitals for treating dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and various health concerns.

Mannitol website Injection, USP 20%, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of mannitol. It is administered intravenously to reduce intracranial pressure . The solution is hyperosmotic and exerts its effects by drawing electrolytes from the intracellular space into the vascular space. This increases plasma osmolality, which in turn reduces edema formation.
